Easter break at The Falcondale - Newsroom - 02-19-2014 Enjoy a luxury escape at The Falcondale Hotel, deep in the heart of the unspoilt Welsh countryside. The hotel, and its 14-acres of pleasure gardens, is located just outside the university town of Lampeter and is within a stone’s throw of Cardigan Bay’s spectacularly beautiful beaches and the wild uplands of the Cambrian mountains. The Italianate mansion has been in the hands of Chris and Lisa Hutton since 2000, and offers 18 individually designed bedrooms, many of which have stunning views over the grounds and the surrounding countryside. A fantastic Easter break kicks off with a delicious afternoon tea in the sitting room or on the terrace – featuring traditional Easter delights such as Simnel cake and Easter bunny shaped Welsh cakes. Every evening, meals are lovingly prepared by chef, Michael Green, whose creative flair, and clever use of the finest local ingredients, has helped The Falcondale restaurant secure 2AA rosettes for seven consecutive years. A full Welsh breakfast sets guests up for a day’s exploring in the local landscape. A visit to Caehir Gardens, as seen on BBC’s Gardeners World and Channel 4’s Garden Party, perhaps, or a trip back in time at the fascinating National Trust property, Llanaerchaeron. Walkers can get away from the crowds in the unspoilt Cambrian Mountains, or take a trip to the sea and and step out along the magnificent coastal path, keeping an eye open for Cardigan Bay’s famed porpoises, dolphins and seals. Well-behaved pets are welcome at The Falcondale, so the family dog can benefit from acres of glorious countryside to romp in during daily walkies. “We are looking forward to welcoming our guests for Easter, and providing them with a well--deserved break in fabulous surroundings,†says Lisa Hutton. “We want guests to feel at home here, so the ambience we have created is relaxed and friendly, but the service we provide is always attentive and professional. Our chef creates outstanding food, and we know that this is one of the reasons why our guests come back to us time after time.†*A three-night Easter break at The Falcondale costs £280 per person and includes a full Welsh breakfast every morning, a cream tea on either Sunday or Monday, as preferred, a gourmet dinner on two of the evenings of your stay, and a free OS map to help you explore the delights of the area.
